Which is more important, the mouse or the cat?

Former Chinese chairman Deng Xiaoping once said: "It doesn't matter whether a cat is white or black, as long as it catches mice."

Now, the Chinese government has indulged herself with many intellectual property theft, hacking, and other forms of disrespect for international law in order to catch the mice of economic and sovereign achievement.

In contrast, David, the previous king of Israel, was more interested with the white cat rather than the mice. He once said: "Deliver my soul from the men of the world whose portion is in this life. As for me, I shall be satisfied with Your likeness." Psalm 17

In the last few decades, Israel has created many start up companies, inventions and innovations, like Intel's microprocessors, Waze, and many other mice without becoming a black cat.

As a reward for practicing justice and righteousness, bible says "The Lord will open to you his good treasury, the heavens,... to bless all the work of your hands." Deuteronomy 28:12

The book "Start-up Nation: The Story of Israel's Economic Miracle" is not a Christian book, yet God's promises to Israel seem to have been showcased in these pages.

One example is the Israeli-Arab war in the 1967 when Israel was just newly established as an independent nation. They were on holidays when the Arab states of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria suddenly attacked them simultaneously. In the next couple of days, Israel won and pushed their enemies back, occupying vast territories as a result.

Deuteronomy 28:7 says "The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways."

"You shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword. Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand, and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword." Leviticus 26:7

Another thing mentioned in the book is the receding desert. No other part in the globe has this unusual phenomenon where the fertile land is eating the arid desert.

"The Lord will open... the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season... Blessed shall be the fruit of your ground..." Deuteronomy 28:4;12

The white cat ultimately gets the mice.
