When I was in high school, I was a sepak athlete. I went to live with my coach for a month training before going to the actual competition.
During our training, my coach asked me, "What is your position/role? Spiker? Taekong(Center player)?"
I answered, "Anywhere coach! I can do service kicks, toss, and spikes. I can do whatever role you want me to do."
I was trying to impress him by implying that I can do everything and that I can play in any position. But the opposite happened. He was dismayed, did not focus on my training in order to give more attention to the other team members and did not allow me to play during the actual athletic games.
I was asking myself why. It was only after few years that I realize it is important to have a clear role. That's the only way I can excel.

I was reading some blogs when I happen to read
a line with a very important question: "If money is not a problem and you know you cannot fail, what do you want to do?"
Simple yet difficult to answer. I kept asking myself this question for few weeks now and sadly, even most of my friends can't answer it. I have goals in life. I have specific goals for this year. But even these set of goals can't tell me what my purpose is.
Forbes.com reported that one of the reasons why Yahoo is loosing its leadership position in the industry is because for few years it failed to define and clarify its purpose to its users. We know that YouTube is a video sharing site. We know that Google is a search engine site. We know that Facebook is a social networking sites. But Yahoo offers a lot of services which gives her a blur identity.
A friend of mine sent an SMS to me which says,
"Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort in your life makes all the difference. If a drop of water falls in a lake, there is no identity. But if it falls on a leaf of lotus it shines like a pearl. So choose the best place where you would shine."
